Created in 1974, this park has a very contrasting territory. In the east, wine hillsides with Mediterranean atmospheres overlook the Rhone. The surroundings of the river are inhabited by the beaver. A thousand meters higher, after crossing the orchards, extend from the covered areas of Landes, shelters of the great raptors whose circaète Jean - le - Blanc, eaten of snakes. Here culminates the Pilat massif at the crown of the partridge, offering magnificent panoramas. Further in the west, towards the Velay, we reach the grasslands of the highlands, covered with narcissas and daffodils, while sphaignes and droséras carnivores lick the peatlands of altitude.
