This map of Denmark is perfect for getting an overview of the sights and the scenic Margaret Route.
The Marguerite Route is a 3600 km long route through the Danish landscape, and was opened in 1991 by Queen Margrethe of Denmark. The route passes through beautiful parts of Denmark and in most places it is possible to cycle or walk along the route. Most of the route is located on small roads, and therefore it is not the fastest or the shortest way from point A to point B, but rather it is an invitation to visit the many attractions that you will find in Denmark. It only crosses the mainland and therefore does not cover islands like Bornholm and Samsø. If you want to leave the mainland, you can find information on ferry routes that depart from Danish ports on the map.
The route uses the daisy flower as its symbol, and you will find them on the road signs, which are placed along the route.
The legend includes: Major roads and highways with route numbers, beaches, campsites, attractions and ferry routes with travel information.
Detailed 1:15,000 scale city maps of Copenhagen, Odense, Aarhus and Aalborg with road names.
The legend is in Danish, German and English.
